Short version: TimeLine does not collect your personal data. Your memories stay on your device. We have no servers that store your journal entries, photos, or personal information.
TimeLine is a local-first app. All journal entries, Moments, Diary entries, photos, audio recordings, tags, and settings are stored only on your device using a local database (Room/SQLite).
We do not collect any of this data. It never leaves your device unless you choose to back it up.
TimeLine offers an optional Google Drive backup. If you enable this:
TimeLine does not include advertising SDKs. We may use anonymous, aggregate crash reports (via Android's standard crash reporting) to identify stability issues. These reports do not include your journal content, photos, or any identifiable personal information.
Pro subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not handle or store payment information. Google's privacy policy applies to all purchase transactions.
TimeLine does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or sign in. Core features work fully offline without any network connection.
TimeLine is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
You can export all your data as an HTML or PDF archive from within the app at any time. You can delete all app data using the "Clear Data" option in Android settings, or by uninstalling the app. Uninstalling removes all locally stored data.
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
